Knoppix: a popular Linux "LiveCD" which allows you to run Linux without having to install it - just boot with the CD in your computer. Knoppix also provides a great way to recover files from a non-bootable Windows computer.
Fedora is the "home user" spin-off of Red Hat Linux. This is the distro (version) of Linux that I use.
OpenOffice.org is an "open source" offie suite that is comaptible with Microsoft Office. It is free to install and use on as many PCs as you wish. There are versions for both Linux and for Windows.
This is my Linux-based PDA. It can operate as a traditional "stylus" type of PDA, or can be opened up into a "mini-laptop" style PDA with a keyboard. There are newer, faster versions out now. These are only released in Japan, but are available in the US from various technology importers.
I help moderate the Linux section of the predominantly Window-centric site Neowin.net. This is where I assist others who are trying Linux, usually for the first time, when they run into something that they have problems with, or they don't understand. Neowin is a fairly large site that provides technology news, plus discussion forums.
