Here is where I will show you the universe as seen through my Meade
LX-200 telescope. The LX-200 is an 8" (diameter) schmitt-cassegrain
telescope. It is computerized and I have all of the equipment needed
to be able to take photographs of the night sky (as seen from Franklin,
TN).
As of yet, I do not have stellar photos ready, but you can see that I have a very nice Anvil case to store it, and to carry it (in the trunk of my Saturn) to any destination.
Here is one test picture of the moon that I took with my Kodak DC210 camera. To use this camera, I had to leave the eyepiece in the telescope, making this a difficult shot as I tried to press the camera to the eyepiece and keep the camera lens center aligned with the telescope eyepiece lens center. Normally, the eyepiece is removed and the camera body is used - making the telescope a very powerful camera lens. However, my digital camera isn't capable of this.
The result is a blurred, and overexposed picture of the moon.
