I chose the title "The Shards" to represent the shards of truth, lies, love, hate, life, death, grief, joy, pain, sorrow, and happiness that make up our wonderful human lives, and the lives of the characters in this story. Sometimes these elements shatter into pieces, but we pick them up, put them together in a new way, and go on, stronger than before. And that's what Kyle and Raedun do in The Shards.
