Everyone's Talking about Katherine Hepburn

Author A. Scott Berg's new biography of Katherine Hepburn, KATE REMEMBERED, came out on July 11. Read an article and an excerpt from the book at The Today Show.

In an interview with Katie Couric, Berg spoke of one of Hepburn's favorite movies that she acted in, "Alice Adams", made in 1935 from Booth Tarkington's 1921 Pulitzer Prize winning novel of the same name, ALICE ADAMS. Check out the video of the movie at Rotten Tomatoes.com where you will read that she gave "an unforgettably touching performance".

Hepburn thought she gave one of her best performances in a 1962 movie with Jason Robards, "Long Day's Journey Into Night", the film version of Eugene O'Neill's 1956 autobiographical account of his wretched homelife. The book is now hard to find but you could try abebooks.com. The movie is available in video. Look it up at Rotten Tomatoes.com at the link above.
