Banning Cohen

Banning Cohen from New Castle County, DE in his 1986 WH-1. Best time to date is 10.62 @ 125 w/ 1.47 sixty foot. The build up starts with a 109 block, normally aspirated crank, normally aspirated rods, and .040 over hyper pistons. Banning ported his own heads while retaining stock valves and stock heads gaskets. Other item include a PTE-67 turbo, 218/222 flat tappet cam, Ford Power stroke intercooler, Art Carr 9 inch converter and 200-r trans. Engine management is a 16 position MaxEffort-R with 72# injectors. This combo has seen over 300 passes with no engine failure, not even a head gasket. Banning attributes his success to the extreme fine tuneabilty of the ME-R. Giving total control of the fuel curve enables the user to add and take away fuel precisely where needed. Ensuring a safe tune that gives max E.T. and MPH for any given combo.

Scott Scrivner's '87 GN from Philadelphia, PA. Best time to date is a 10.85 @ 125.6mph. Best 60' to date has been a 1.58. He's using the 16 position Mass Air thumbwheel with a TE-62 turbo, ported iron heads with stock valves, Comp Cams 214/214 roller, CAS V4 intercooler, Tomka Cold Air Induction, 72# injectors, ATR double pumper, TH 3" downpipe, ATR 2.5" exhaust, 9.5" Vigilante converter.
