This demonstration session at a child abuse agency features Dr. Oaklander working with 10-year-old Carlos. Although Carlos is meeting Dr. Oaklander for the first time, a trusting relationship is quickly established.

You will see how Dr. Oaklander focuses on contact when necessary. She helps Carlos build the self-support required to express some of the emotions locked up deep inside of him. Before the end of the session, Dr. Oaklander gently leads Carlos toward a posture of self-nurturing.
