Here is an update on Summer Vacation 2006. First we started the season with a few local hikes. Here is one up Eagle Creek.

Then, in June, we went "boat-backpacking" on Ross Lake, with wilderness, motorboat-in camping.

And then we went to Mt. Rainier NP for 4 nights. Notice the "toe" of Elliott Glacier, the largest in the lower 48.
