Thanks for dropping by. I know your time is valuable and will try
to make the few moments you spend here worth while and interesting. Included
below, are a list of my books and a brief
bio. The Navigation Bar to the left
will hopefully simplify visiting the pages on my web site. As you can see,
it contains links to my home page (to allow you to return here from other
pages), to each of my books, to information about my
seminar
Seven Steps to Publication, and my writing
package,
Writing Aids for Authors. There
is also a link to a page (Links) from which you can access three chapters
of Romance Writers of America in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, the National
RWA homepage, and other chapters.

Born in Texas to a military family, Sonya Birmingham lived in fourteen American cities and the Philippine Islands as a girl. After high school in California, she attended Colorado Women's College and George Pepperdine University where she majored in fine arts. As an Air Force wife she made a home for her husband and children in eight states and abroad in Germany and Greece.
While living abroad, she wrote travel columns for a stateside newspaper and beauty columns for various military publications. She has won over two dozen writing awards for humor, romance, and western writing, including the Ox-Bow Award and the Colorado Romance Author's Award of Excellence for the best historical romance in 1991.
Her writing credits include Spitfire, Renegade Lady, Almost a Lady, Frost Flower, Scarlet Leaves and Song of the Lark. Her most recent novel, The Brightest Flame, was published as a lead title from Leisure Books in August 1999.
During 1994, Almost a Lady won the Texas Communication Contest. Affaire de Coeur nominated the novel for a best historical romance award, and it was a finalist in the National Communication Contest, the largest competition for published material in America.
A speaker as well as a writer, Sonya enjoys presenting writing seminars. She has received newspaper and TV coverage of her seminars, and after delivering her Seven Steps to Publication seminar in Europe, was featured on the cover of the European edition of Stars and Stripes magazine.
