Not much to say here.
Clickety clickety CLACK. This is my mantra for getting started with writing. The mental sound of a typewriter-cum-keyboard being hammered with the palpable pulses of one's creativity channeling out one's fingers...That's enough to get me going. I'm listening sing-sing internet radio out of France. Internet radio and satellite radio are wonderful, especially for their lack of commercials, and for the variety one can find. * * * * * * * * I can just about feel the stress-induced cortisol leaching out of my body post-exams. I'm still not feeling completely human, but I'm getting there. Today, for example, Maggie, who works full time, asked me if I could get to the Shelby County campus for Jefferson State Community College, in order to pay tuition and get her parking permit. On the tip of my tongue was the answer, no, I have to study. I have become so conditioned. But then a nice glowing light reminded me that no, I have the day off, and I can actually do something to help my wife out for a change. How about that. More cortisol degrades, my shoulders relax a bit more, and I get the errands done. * * * * * * * * Today was lousy with banal bill-paying, and doing nothing in the form of playing Halo, watching television, taking a nap, getting online and reading web sites I haven't checked out in a while, like chessbase.com. I do enjoy chess, and am fascinated by pretty much anything about the game. Anyone who wants to play me, just send an email, and we'll set something up. * * * * * * * * |
