KROQ, U2, Boston (I can't write)
I've got KROQ online playing. It's
Bulls on Parade by Rage Against the Machine now. I've just
updated the web site with an entry about Bryce
Mental Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I came from a graduation
celebration in the same town tonight, honoring students and faculty
alike. Bhavik was there, two days away from graduating from medical
school. Awesome!
Now I've switched, as I invariably do, to the lads.
U2. Where it's at. Where it has been.
Dizzying
music. Vertiginous music. Vertigo. This was the song that I
listened to most often on the blitzkrieg drive into downtown Birmingham
on the way to taking an exam. It rocks, and it got my blood pumping in a
five-star, inspiring way like only great music can.
Hello, Hello.
Hola!
But we're a long way now from those days, aren't we?

Maggie's in Boston, having a wonderful time with her Irish Bamayo.
She's got me thinking about residency programs in the beantown city. Her
happiness is a great persuader for me. Because of how positively she has
responded to the Boston area, I'm going to add Boston to my residency
differential.
