McBlog Update 2006First I must
give credit where credit is due.
Barry Kosloff, who is working on his dissertation topic in Zambia,
sent me photographs from my beloved home away from home - Lusaka. The
photograph you see above is his. He was kind enough to send it to me a
few days ago. It was taken at some flats in an area of Lusaka known as
Mass Media, named for its proximity to the broadcast station for
Zambia's ZNBC television and radio. It is where I stayed for part of my
time while working at CIDRZ two summers ago, with Jeff Davis, who was
visiting with me. The cat makes a nice contrast against the painted
plaster over cinderblock structure, eh?
Second I've got to express frustration with Charter Cable and their
web service. I've been two weeks without being able to update this site
because the Charter server has been out of commission.
In light of this, I have started a sort of mirror site, although it's
not a true mirror site. I'm just going to double-post whatever I write
so that in the event Charter fails again, this other site will be my
second choice for posting.
My alternate site, then, is this:
