Some petz will only work in Petz 5, some will work in 3 and up, make sure you check the litter info to be sure the pet you want will work in your game before you apply.
I never tree trim my petz, but occasionally I do adopt trimmed petz. If there is any trimming in their ancestry, it will be noted.
