She insists on wearing it most of the time. *nods* I'm very silly when it comes to my Pixel baby. | I saw this book once, called "Why Paint Cats?" about people who paint cats, not pictures of cats, they actually paint directly on real living cats. It's not real though, the whole book was one big joke, but it's very convincing. Anyway, there were some amazing and wild pictures in that book, and I really liked it. It reminded me of "hex painting" petz, and I wanted to hex a really wild colored cat. So I hexed the aptly named Paint, complete with crazy leopard spots, a bulls-eye chest patch, and some other random patches. | Oh my god, I have totally fallen for Devon Rexes, and fallen hard! I know I'm going to get a lot more of these cuties very soon. They are just unbelievably kawaii! I didn't know anything about this breed, but Vickie's file just looked so cute I had to give it a try. And then I looked them up on the CFA web site, saw some to die for Devon pictures, read a bit where they were compared to elves, and there was no turning back after that. Cornie, the nickname for Cornish Rexes, reminded me of the word, Carnie, so that's what I named this kitty. She's so colorful and playful Carnival seemed a fitting name for her. |

| Rah is just so beautiful and majestic, he makes me melt. His curly coat texture and orange color reminded me of beaten gold, so that's how he got his name, and he needed a suitably majestic call name, so I called him Rah, after the Egyptian sun god, and that fit his color too. Cornish Rexes originated in England, not Egypt, but their slender and elegant build kinda gives them that look, doesn't it? |

I managed to resist Cornies, until Wicked's litter was posted, then I lost all self-control. ;) I can't resist a black cat with gold eyes, they are too sexy for words. Plus a face stripe and chest patch. His show name plus his prefix means "dark night" At least I think that's right, I don't really know Latin. But I know obscura means dark, and nox noctis means night, and I think the noun goes before adjective. Anyway it sounds cool, so that's his name. |

| I hexed this kitty (just added a few spots really) to resemble his namesake, the maneki neko, which means beckoning cat. It's a Japanese symbol of a cat with its paw raised that you often see as figurines. And his call name, Kou, means luck or happiness, which is what the maneki neko is said to bring, as well as wealth and customers to your business. I know that male calicos aren't possible IRL (accept for the occasional sterile mutation with an extra x chromosome) but for this vary reason the maneki neko is often portrayed as male, so I wanted mine to be male. Plus it's fun to have male calicos in petz cuz you can't have them IRL. |

| I didn't know how apt Wander's name would be when I gave it to her. She as a leftover from a breeding project. I had her up for adoption on my site for a long time, and she didn't get adopted, so I put her on the AAC, and she didn't get adopted there either. She ended up sitting in a folder for a while, then finally I decided I just had to keep her. She's only a 2nd gen, but she's very pretty! | Eee yay I got one of Smarti's funky kitties! I love them so much. I let the first I saw on PA go without bidding, and then kicked myself for not at least trying. But then Smarti made more! I really love this color combo, so I'm thrilled I got one. I woulda been happy with any of them, but Teyrn is the best because I love this color combo, her eye colors, and her name sounds really neat. |
