Delaware Daredevil We visited the place were Washington crossed the icy Delaware River in the middle of the night to mount an attack on the British that caught them by surprise. Here is a photo of McKonkey's Ferry Inn, where tradition says that Washington and his troops ate their Christmas dinner prior to making the crossing.
