Scoutmaster's Vision of a successful Troop:

A successful troop is one that is run by the boys with guidance by trained adult leaders. A successful troop utilizes the older scouts to train the younger scouts in many of the scouting principals and techniques and fine tunes those skills through exciting outdoor activities and community related service projects. The ultimate goal of this situation is a troop that has FUN first and foremost, while teaching the boys life skills that prepare them for the future. This is most visible in boys that are thoughtful, caring, confident, and energetic about the Scouting program, and are ever mindful of the Scout Oath and Law.
