Cube Preparation

When I first get a new stiff cube I play with it a while. Basically I grind the plastic down and break in the cube. After I break it in, I strech the springs. I take butter knifes and put them between the cracks and let them set for a few hours. After I break in the cube and strech the springs I take the cube apart and and clean the cubes with a damp paper towl. To take the cube apart turn one side of the cube half way, then use a knife or finger and pop out the edge piece. Then the rest of the cube comes apart easy.
After I clean it, I put it back together and before I put the last edge back in I squirt some little silicone inside the cube. Then I turn the cube a few times to spread the silicone around. After you let the silicone dry for a few hours your cube will be nice and loose. To make sure you cube stays loose, you should clean it and re-spray silicone every so often, I do it about every 2 weeks. It is important to clean the cube before you spray silionce in it, other wise your cube will just build up with gunk inside and slow it down.
