I have been teaching in the Troy School District for 20 years.  Previous to that, I taught music education in Riverview Schools.  I have a Bachelors degree in Music Education, a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and a Specialist in Gifted Education.  I have had the honor of receiving several very important awards: USA Today's "Top 20 Teachers in the Country" and represented the United States as a Fulbright Scholar in Japan.

I have a wonderful husband who is a counselor at a Career Center in Taylor, Michigan, four children and three grandchildren.
