About Somatic Voicework(sm)
The LoVetri Method
Somatic Voicework (sm)(SVW) is Jeannette
LoVetri's body-based system of training for Contemporary Commercial
Music (CCM). LoVetri has created a comprehensive approach to vocal
development by drawing upon her three and half decades as a teacher and
vocalist, her training in traditional classical vocal technique, as well
as disciplines such as speech pathology, dance, and yoga. SVW also draws
upon approaches taken from body awareness disciplines such as Alexander
Technique, Feldenkrais, and BioEnergetics. LoVetri has worked for years
in collaboration with voice scientists and medical doctors and is an
internationally recognized expert in healthy singing for all commercial
styles.
Why is this course unique?
Somatic Voicework(sm) (SVW) - The LoVetri
Method presupposes that healthy singing is based upon free, full use of
the vocal mechanism in partnership with the body. It promotes
self-knowledge, musical intuition and the artistic uniqueness of each
person and voice. Instructional materials are flexible and can be
adapted to fit each professional's individual approach.
Receive Your Level One SVW Certification
Level I Certification is for anyone who currently works with or desires
to work with CCM styles. It will present an organized pedagogical
approach based upon vocal function and the principles of voice science
and medicine. Level One Certification is designed to educate the eyes
and ears of voice professionals about the healthy use of the voice in
any CCM style. Through live and recorded examples, program participants
will develop enhanced perception, sharpened aural discrimination and
increased accuracy of the diagnosis of vocal health and production
issues.

"Finally! There is Somatic
Voicework(sm)"
- The LoVetri Method, a safe and sane system of voice training
designed for singers of all genres to reach their potential. After a
lifetime of practicing vocal exercises and still losing my voice
when performance demands were high, finding Jeanie LoVetri was a
godsend. She debunks the old myths about voice training and
commercial music by teaching her students to sing ANY style of music
safely and freely. Run, don't walk to this course."
