Commerce is good, Commerce is
good, Commerce is good. I've been telling myself that for 3 years now but we have yet to
have any luck at this track!
First thing Saturday morning, i
did something I love to do - help Maura Hall from Zipper's teach the Drag
racing 101 school. It always makes me feel good when I see someone do
a controlled burnout for the first time and then to see the ear to ear smile
as they return to the line to do it again! I'll help every chance I
get as I truly believe this class helps build a stronger, safer, more
competitive organization.
We qualified #12 this time with
a best ET of 10.427. I never did get the set-up right on Saturday even
though we ran well Friday night.
First round of eliminations is
always verve racking. This proved quite true in Atlanta as I red lit
by a mere .007 seconds. It was very disappointing but the weather
helped me out as the rains came shortly thereafter and the event was called
in the quarter final round. The class leaders only made a small move
ahead (sorry guys and gals)!
Next, we're off to Norwalk
looking to go rounds.
Wish us luck!
Stay tuned for more!
And THANKS for visiting the
MAVRIK Racing pages!
