I look forward to Norwalk every
year. It is a really nice facility, it is a good, fast racing surface,
and every other year, my Dad comes down from New York to watch me race.
It makes the 10 plus hour drive much more bearable.
As always, weather permitting,
we get 3 qualifying passes on Saturday. Continuing what had happened
in Atlanta, I never did get the setup right between the clutch and the tire
pressure. The result was less than spectacular but we were qualified
in the field.
Sunday morning found the
starting line way more sticky than many had anticipated with bike after bike
bogging on the starting line. While I hated to see it, I realized that
I was not the only one who this happened to. I raised up the tire
pressure for round 1, but not enough as it turned out, bogged and just
didn't have enough track left to recover.
As for racing, it was a rather
disappointing weekend, but I did enjoy spending the weekend with my Dad.
For a guy who didn't used to like anything Harley, he sure got right into
the action. I don't think he missed a single round of competition on
Sunday!
Stay tuned for more!
And THANKS for visiting the
MAVRIK Racing pages!
