* Spring Red Cross 2003 Race Report *

After being too fast at Commerce, we were really excited to see just how fast this bike would go!  This would be an 1/8 mile ET race with a pro tree.  In 4 time trial passes, we ran pretty consistently in the 6.30's at around 108 mph.  We were pleased with the performance.  Unfortunately, we cut a not so good light in round 1 and got beat by .030 seconds!  Well, that's racing.

We were happy to have Rick Cathcart, our fellow Team VIP member, at this race.  Rick represented the team well going all the way to the semi-finals.  Way to go Rick!

Fellow AHDRA member Tommy Sloan had a great outing taking the win in the quick 8 field.  On a sad note, one of Tommy's team members, Fat Boy as he was known, fell victim to a heart attack shortly after the racing ended.  Our condolences to his family and to Tommy's race team.

Stay tuned for more!

And THANKS for visiting the MAVRIK Racing pages!
