ADAK, ALASKA PICTURES

Here are some pictures of Adak, Alaska, where Angie was born. Adak - 1972-73

OLD PICTURES I FOUND

I found a bunch of old 35mm slides and scanned them into .jpeg files so I could share with family and friends. This first batch is from a camping trip we took to Lake Amador in 1974. Lake Amador Trip - 1974

NOTES FROM THE LONE STAR STATE

Jon and Angie have started a new website, Misplaced Keys (more like a blog/discussion forum), where Angie can chronicle her days as a mother of four and Jon can continue his work from his old website, "Gator Bites". It should make for some lively discussion. Hopefully, there will be lots of pictures of the Stueve family also, especially the kids. Drop by and have a look. :-)

INTRODUCING...............

Penny Penny Penny

Meet Miss Penny, a tri-colored Beagle who stole my heart when I spotted her at a Rescue Shelter. She had been abused and was in need of a good home and lots of TLC. I needed a companion for my walks, so we decided it would be a mutually beneficial relationship! They say that Beagles are "untrainable", but I had to try. She sits when and where she wants to, and doesn't do tricks. I think I know now what they mean by untrainable. She's happiest when she's chasing rabbits, real or imaginary. When she's "on a scent", she is oblivious to everything and everybody! Let's just say that Beagles have their own way of doing things. She is a very sweet and loving companion who makes me wonder why I haven't had a companion like her before. Maybe I wouldn't have married so many times! :-)

LESLIE BEGINS NEW CAREER:

Leslie has accepted a new position with a new company. She was recently named Director of News Services for Reverse Logistics Trends, an aftermarket supply chain association. Her new position keeps her very busy and provides for travel to exotic and far-away places, such as Las Vegas, The Netherlands and Singapore. Working from home, Leslie logs more hours at work now than she ever did working at a conventional job. But the rewards of travel and doing what she enjoys makes up for the long hours. Not too many of us get to go to work in our pajamas!! I'm sure Leslie will do well in any job that challenges her. :-)

LAUREN AND BRENNA VISIT MISSOURI!

Lauren and Brenna ventured out of Texas and made the trip to MO to visit Auntie Leslie and Grampa this summer. It was their first time away from home without Mommy and Daddy and they were really quite excited to be going on vacation! They met Auntie and Grampa halfway in Joplin, "Jocklin" to Danny :-), so the trip wouldn't be so long for the rest of the Stueve clan. While they were visiting Missouri, we went to the St. Louis Science Center and the St. Louis Zoo. Of course, they went swimming in the pool at Auntie's house, where they practiced their recently acquired swimming skills.
