HARD DRIVE SETUP TOOLS

Direct from the drive manufacturer. Use these tools for setting up new hard drives or working with hard drives that are larger than the BIOS limitation on your computer.

Western Digital	Data Lifeguard Tools: The newest version (10.0) includes an easier drive/partition cloning module, but it only works if one of the hard drives installed in the computer is a Western Digital hard drive.
Seagate/Connor	DiscWizard & SeaTools: Seagate simplifies the installation of disc drives with this DiscWizard and use Seagate's SeaTools exclusive disc drive diagnostic software designed to troubleshoot most hard drive issues with Seagate hard drives.
Maxtor/Quantum	MaxBlast3 & PowerMax: MaxBlast 3 is a one-step, ATA/IDE hard drive installation utility. The PowerMax utility is designed to perform diagnostic read/write verifications on Maxtor and Quantum hard drives.

These are links to downloads of additional software I use or recommend to keep my online PC's secure from hackers.

Generally home users should download the 'Free' versions if available. The free versions may have limited features, but in most cases, they do what you need. If you download 'Trial' versions, the time of use is limited, and you are expected to register if you continue using the software after the trial period.

PopUpStopper Block annoying pop-up ads while you surf the internet.	SpywareBlaster Prevent spyware from installing in the first place!.
AdAware Run this free program periodically to clean spyware off your PC.	Spybot - Search & Destroy Run this free program periodically to clean spyware off your PC.

ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE DOWNLOADS

XTEQ Setup This program allows you to tweak settings in your PC that you normally don't have access to.
Beware: Changing the wrong settings can prevent Windows from launching on your PC.

DiskKeeper Lite A free version of the popular hard drive defragmentation program.

WinZip Use this program to create/view/extract zip files commonly found on the internet.

AmortizeCompare.xls NEW 12/28/2003 This is an Excel spreadsheet that can be used to evaluate monthly payments, and total ammount paid during the full duration of a loan/mortgage. This spreadsheet gives the user a side-by-side comparison of loan durations (in 5 year increments) and percentage (in user defined intervals).
