Ervin Moore, 41, Killed in Hay Baler, July 4
Ervin Moore, 41, was killed yesterday afternoon about 5 o'clock at the Warnock Farm northeast of Princeton when he fell into a hay baler on which he was riding.
Members of the baler crew stopped the tractor for a mechanical adjustment and found Moore's body, with the exception of the legs, in the baler. The body was badly mangled.
It is believed that Moore either fell into the baler when it hit a rough spot in the field or fainted and fell.
Dr. W. F. Morris, Gibson County Coroner, is investigating.
Moore was born near Moore's Bridge, northeast of Princeton, November 5, 1903. He had resided in this city for the last 10 months.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Lettie Moore, Princeton; two brothers, Samuel Moore, McLeansboro, Illinois and Clifford Moore, Princeton; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Whittington, Princeton.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Colvin and Son Chapel, Rev. Grover Kreig officiating. Burial will be in the Decker Chapel Cemetery. The body is at the Colvin & Sons mortuary.
