Sherman Moore Drops Dead

Prominent Farmer of Northeast of Here Stricken Suddenly

Sherman “Doc” Moore, 69, a prominent farmer died suddenly as 4:45 o'clock Sunday afternoon of a heart attack at his home 7 miles northeast of Princeton near Moore's Bridge. He had been in poor health for four years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home, in charge of the Re. Grover Kreig. Burial will be in Decker Chapel Cemetery.

Surviving are: the widow, Mrs. Ala Moore; six daughters, Mrs. Grace O'Neal, Misses Dorothy, Eliza and Esther Moore at home, Mrs. Louis Whiting near Princeton and Mrs. Harry Pennington of white Pigeon, Mich. A son, John C. Moore near Wheeling; a brother Edwin Moore, northeast of Princeton, three sisters, Mrs. James Kendle, northeast of Princeton, Mrs. Fred Lautenslager of Princeton and Miss Ruth Moore ot Terre Haute; five granddaughters. Freida Joyce O'Neal, Charlotte and Celeste Whiting, Harriet Pennington, Arlene Moore.

He was born near Moore's Bridge May 17, 1867 and resided in the county for his lifetime. He was a member of the Kirksville I.O.O.F. and the encampment of Princeton I.O.O.F.
