Thomas the Tank Engine
Hello! Welcome to our web site dedicated to our favorite train - Thomas the Tank Engine!
Thomas is a little blue engine who lives on the Island of Sodor. His stories were created more than 50 years ago by an English clergyman, Reverend Wilbert Awdry. Check out our Thomas History page to learn more about the origins of Thomas the Train. Did you know 2005 is Thomas' 60th Anniversary? Check out this special Thomas & Friends 60th Anniversary site.
We have pages dedicated to each of our favorite engines. You can find pictures and information about them at our Thomas and His Friends page.
We love to color! Print out coloring pictures of Thomas the Train and his Island of Sodor friends on our Thomas the Tank Engine Coloring Pages.
We enjoy reading about the Sodor Gang in the Reverend's original stories, but we REALLY love watching the videos. Thomas was brought to the screen in 1984 by Britt Allcroft. There are now more than 25 Thomas the Train titles available on VHS and DVD. You can read about the videos on our Thomas Videos page. You can also catch Thomas & Friends on your local PBS station in the US.
We also love listening to train tunes, especially when we're riding in the car. You can see the lyrics to many of the songs on our Thomas Tunes page.
Did you know you can ride on a real Thomas Train? There is an event called A Day Out With Thomas that travels around the country. Check out our Day out with Thomas page to learn more about this event and find links to the schedule.
We hope you enjoy learning all about Thomas the Tank Engine on our web site. Visit our Favorite Links page to find even more great sites dedicated to our favorite little blue engine.
