Long Term Nursing Care & Respite

Remember the Dear Old Days ...
When multi-generational families could spread out in grand old homes, with plenty of room, care and love for all to share? When the dining table was spread with delicious home-cooked food, enhanced by good conversation … and everyone, of whatever age, was an important part of the extended family?
But all that was part of another era . . .
![]()
a time before two salaries were needed just to support the nuclear family … before few houses had more than three bedrooms … before family members were frequently scattered across the country …before medicine became too technological for anyone without specialized training to handle. Today, as a result, we must frequently consign our elderly loved ones to an institutional setting of one sort or another -- where schedules must be planned to meet the needs of over-stressed staff, rather than the gentler rhythms of their patients. Where caregiving is a revolving door, and there is scant opportunity for close-knit, long-term relationships -- or for feeling like anything but a burden to those upon whom you rely for everything.

Maria Campbell, an R.N. with long experience in caring for the elderly in nursing homes, has a better idea... a return to the individualized care and caring of times gone by.
She and her family have opened their home to just a few people who’ll be able to enjoy the rich vitality of active family life, despite whatever need they may have for skilled care and medical supervision.
If you, or someone you care about, might otherwise have no choice but a nursing home, consider this spacious Victorian manor, immersed in Mayville’s small-town, turn-of-the-last-century charm.
Watch the world go by from the spacious front porch. Cook special treats for your Mossflower family, if that’s your thing – or let Maria know which of your favorite family recipes you’d like her to prepare. Look forward to special outings, games and crafts. If you like the outdoors, you can garden, fish, or just relax in the shade of the ancient oaks, maples, and walnut trees that grace our two quiet acres on the banks of the Rock River. Secure in knowing that whenever you want it, kind and caring companionship is no more than a whisper away.

In a word, you’ll be home.
And you'll be welcome to stay, for as long as you want – because Maria has the medical background and resources to provide nearly any level of skilled care you might eventually need. Chances
are very good that you’ll never need to move again. Why not come to visit – and then decide if this is a place you’d like to call home?

Nursing Care in a Homelike setting.
This changes everything!

If you have come this far, I should tell you a little bit about myself.
I graduated Cum Laude with a BSN in Nursing from Niagra University, and spent the next 11 years nursing in New York. I returned to Canada for the next 12 years and continued with Public Health, Home Health, Hospital Nursing, and as a Clinical Instructor. Returning to the States, I have been in Wisconsin nursing for the last 10 years, the entire time in geriatrics and Long Term Care -- the majority of this time as supervising nurse manager. Mossflower Harbour is a shared dream of mine, and of those close to me. A dream we hope will bring dignity & quality of life to many. Thank you for taking the time to consider an option. We welcome any questions you might have, or if you'd just like to arrange for a visit. We wish only the best to you and yours, and hope to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Maria
