MTJ and TJHMO STRONGLY SUPPORT HB 1017

Missourians for Tax Justice and the Tax Justice for a Healthy Missouri campaign supported House Bill 1017.

Missouri's individual income tax structure has not been changed since 1971 when new brackets and rates were enacted. The top bracket is $9,000., a figure set in 1931---76 years ago.

Missouri needs more adequate funds for essential needs. The only equitable way to raise the revenue to fund services that Missourians need is by updating our income tax structure.
