Missouri's tax system is:

INADEQUATE . . . . .INEQUITABLE . . . . .OUTDATED!

You can help change that ---

Join the grassroots citizens' campaign:

Tax Justice for a Healthy Missouri

Participation in this campaign is open to any group or individual who is committed to the goal of obtaining new revenue to meet Missouri's needs through a new graduated individual income tax structure. If state taxes are a mystery to you or your group, but you think taxes should be FAIR, the Tax Justice campaign has a solution.

A one and one-half hour Workshop sponsored by the Campaign and United for a Fair Economy is available to groups throughout the state. It is designed to teach participants about our state tax system. The workshop is designed with these goals:

An immediate goal of the campaign is to help people throughout the state learn about our tax system, why it's inequitable and inadequate, and what we can do to change that.

The 2008 Session of the Missouri Legislature begins January 9, 2008. Missourians for Tax Justice and the Tax Justice for a Healthy Missouri campaign will be watching and letting members know what's happening. MTJ and TJHMO will support important legislation that will make our state tax system more adequate and equitable. We will oppose legislation that would reduce the state's ability to meet human needs and/or make our tax system even more unfair and inequitable. Check for more information on the MTJ Home Page.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!

If you and/or your organization want to be a part of this effort, please join the TJHMO campaign now!
