This Web Page is about Study Hints

What worked best for me was using note cards.  Even in my most challenging college classes, I had great success on tests when I memorized my notes and vocabulary words by using note cards.

Put one key word or idea on the front

and the definitions or ideas on the back.  Include formulas and pictures if it helps!

When you are studying for a test or quiz and have a lot to remember, I found it better to make all of the cards at one time, then break them into stacks of 5-7 cards.  Choose one stack and memorize them.  You know you have it down when you can turn these cards backwards and tell me what word the definition is describing.  When you have memorized the first 5-7 words, add the next pile to them and repeat front to back then back to front memorization.  Do this until all of your words and notes are complete.

If there are one or two words that trouble you, read through them right before you go to sleep.  When you get up go over them a few more times.  It should be easier to remember!

Take your cards with you.  Before the test or quiz, go over the cards as many times as you can.

Good luck!

This was what made my grades great, but I know that there are many other study methods.  If you use something else that works, share it with me and I will add it on the site!!
