Monday - Music
This week we continue learning about food and the first Thanksgiving.
Today we will retell the folk tale The Little Red Hen
using our stick puppets. This week we will work with the consonant Dd. In Math
we will be working on numbers to 10, patterning, and addition. Homework 1.
Have your
child write their name on a plain sheet of paper and either cut out or
draw three pictures of things that begin with the /d/ sound
that you hear at the beginning of the word dog. Have your child "Kid Spell" each picture name to
the best of their skill level. 2. Talk with your child about a
traditional food that your family enjoys at Thanksgiving.
Tuesday - Library
BEE Night at Italian Pie
Today
we will be talking about different food traditions that families
have. We will read Our Special Sweet Potato Pie. Homework: Have your child "point and read" their little book. Have each listener initial the back
cover of the book and return the initialed book tomorrow.
Wednesday - PE Wear your tennis shoes!
Our Cafeteria will serve their traditional Thanksgiving meal. Yum!
Today we will reread Our Special Sweet Potato Pie. Homework:
Have your child use pencil to write their names and then carefully
complete the Dd handwriting practice page. Encourage your
child to work carefully and to "stay within the lines". Be sure
that your child traces each of the black letters as well as writing the
other letters.
Thursday - PE Wear your tennis shoes!
Pictures with Santa
Today we will read a nonfiction selection titled Ripe and Ready to
Eat. It is so interesting to see how some of our foods
start their journey to our stores. Homework:
Practice saying your
complete address and telephone number. Don't forget to include the zip-code
with your address and your area code with your phone
number!

Today we will read The First Thanksgiving. Homework:
