                 Last Day of Kindergarten!

Today is a 1/2 Day of School

                          12:06 Dismissal

Lunch will be served at 9:40 for our class.  Your child must have a positive balance in their lunch account to be allowed to eat.  Please send a note to me if your child will not be eating a cafeteria lunch today! Thank you for your cooperation!  End of the year Progress Reports, and your child's school supply list for next year, will be handed out at the end of our school day.  If your child is not able to attend school today you may pick up their Progress Report in the office after 1:00.

Here are some ideas for your summer vacation.
*Read lots of good books together.  Retell some of the stories; who was this story about; what happened first, next, etc; how did the story end; where did the story take place; was there a problem and how did it get solved.
*Attend the Library's Summer Reading Program.
*Talk about the things that you do, see, feel.  This builds lifelong interests and vocabulary.
*Tell jokes and stories.
*Cook together.
*Laugh often.
*Take walks in the evening.  Talk about what you see, hear, smell and about how you feel.
*Collect, sort, and name coins and their values.
*Practice your complete phone number and address.
*Write notes to friends and family (Parents, remember that "kid spelling" is a good thing at this age!)
*Plant some plants.
*Practice our Word Wall Words.
*Always remember to give and get at least four hugs each and every day.
Remember that Mrs. Hoppe loves you!

Monday, May 19th at 6:00 p.m.
Our Class End of Year Program
The children in our class have planned a program of things that they have learned during our year together.  The children should meet in the cafeteria at 5:45.  "Dress up clothes" are appropriate.  Following our program cookies and punch will be served.  This is a family event.  Invite all of your family and friends and plan to bring a camera.

Wednesday, May 21st - Our Last 1/2 Day of School for this Year
Your child's final Progress Report will be sent home with your child at 12:00.  If your child does not attend this final 1/2 day of school you may pick up their Progress Report from the office after 1:00 p.m.

Thank You
Sincerest thanks to all who made this past Teacher’s Appreciation week so wonderful.  The cards, special notes, gifts and yummy food were truly appreciated!  I am grateful to have the privilege to be a part of the Bonne Ecole family where the parents and families of my students are so cooperative and supportive!

Parting Thoughts
Thank you for sharing your darling children and a portion of your family life with me.  I have truly enjoyed working with each of the children and getting to know all of their wonderful families.  Our class has been blessed with a wonderful amount of parent participation throughout the year.  Continue to be actively involved in your child's schooling.  Raising these precious children is the most important job that you will ever do!  You are making a difference!  I wish all of you peace, joy and continued growth and success.

I will miss all of my little cuties and will look forward to seeing all of them next fall, here at Bonne Ecole!
Humbly,
Sara Hoppe
