Illimani and its hanging glaciers, rising to more than 21,000 feet, dominates the view from La Paz. This picture was taken from the window of one of our hotel rooms. Illimani is a technical ice climb but is often done because of its close proximity to the city below and immediate appeal to anyone seeing this massive, picturesque giant.
