talent and making the best of it is a life long
endeavor.”
I am a free-lance portrait artist
whose subjects range from people and animals to
homes and landscapes. I work in many mediums but
oil has become my main venue. Watercolor and pencil
portraits are also among my favorites. I work
from life and/or photographs. Caricatures have
become a fun easy way to portray subjects in a
light easy manner. Always a dog and cat owner,
my deep appreciation for them shows in every pet
portrait I do. I have been told often that I am
able to capture the spirit of the animal or the
soul of the person , a result of applying my faith
to my work.
Equine art has
become a specialty of mine. Always a “first
love’ horses were my first subject and continue
to be a favorite. I can portray any breed working
from good photos and information about the personality
and habits of the animal. I have several limited
and open edition prints of equine including mule
and donkey prints and note cards. I am also a
member of the Equine Art Guild, www.equineartguild.com.
I have many portraits of champions and beloved
companions in collections in the United States
and several other countries.
I have done many
formal portraits of people working from both life
and photos. Children, families, wedding and graduation
portraits are all a part of my portfolio. Painting
oil portraits from old wedding pictures is a way
to preserve them for posterity.
I have a studio
at my home and sell my work at galleries and gift
shops, art shows and the Internet. Minnesota artists

a couple of the links that I am associated with.
I have fine art prints of animals in limited and
open editions. My designs are being reproduced
on etched mirrors by Master Visions of Minneapolis,MN,
www.mastervisions.com , clothing and various other
products. I have work at Wildes Art Gallery in
Tomah, WI, Picadilly Gallery and Frame , Minn.City,
