Over the course of the winter, Kevin will travel over 2000 miles training and racing the dog team.

It all begins in the fall when the temperature starts to drop. Training begins long before the snow ever begins to fall by means of a four-wheeler instead of a sled.

Kevin starts training by traveling 2-3 miles a day, slowly increasing the mileage as the dogs gain strength.

By mid-December the team is traveling between 20-50 miles a day until they are like high performance athletes that can accomplish anything.

After countless hours of hard work and many, many sleepless nights, the racing season finally begins in mid-December.
