illustrates
a million names of ice
from an eskimo dream
this annoys me
while I stare
straight ahead
distracts me
from my mental reconstructions
rigid
I stand at attention
I think of faceless men
endlessly reproduced
in flaming sheets of polymer
blankets of fire
shade them
save them
from my deepening neural intensity
peripheral intruders
in my space
disrupt my yellow reverie
I shake it off
prodding along my thoughts
they straggle
and are reflected
in a nighttime amber rivulet
