Overview
There
are certain
keys that guitar-based popular bands use more than others. Determining
these
keys by studying online guitar chord charts can be useful for several
reasons.
First, knowing what keys are used most can help a beginning guitar
student know
where to focus his/her efforts. Also, analyzing songs to determine the
keys can
reinforce the understanding of primary chords. Finally, processing
chord data
can improve computer skills and spreadsheet use.
