I'm just in from seeing The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course with my dad. We both enjoyed it, and I would love to go see it again. *smiles* If you like the television show you'll like the movie. You get classic Steve with crikey, flat out like a lizard drinking, and fair'd income and new Steve when he fights the "poachers". The movie has two chase scenes, one providing much more suspense than the other. Plus there are lots of inside jokes for the diehard fans of the show, such as "thank goodness my wife is such a good driver" and a picture cameo of Steve's best mate Wes Mannion.
I don't want to give too much away but the basic plot is that a US satellite explodes in orbit and the black box reenters the atmosphere over northern Queensland, Australia. It crashes to earth and is then eaten by a crocodile. Oops! Steve and Terri are called in by the Fish and Game Department to relocate the afore mentioned crocodile because he has been eating a rancher's cattle. Not knowing that the crocodile has eaten the box Steve and Terri believe the CIA agents sent to retrieve it are actually poachers trying to kill the croc. Trouble ensues....
What you didn't think I was going to tell you everything did you?
Oh, I should mention the cast. The movie stars: Steve Irwin, Terri Irwin, Magda Szubanski (most US fans will know her as Furlow on Farscape), Charlie, Monty, Graham, and David Wenham.
Steve and Terri have both announced that all proceeds from the movie will be used for wildlife conservation. Which I think is a great idea and why I will drag everybody I can to see this movie. *smiles*
This summer Croc's Rule!
