Christmas day was nice. It was just mom, myself, and the cats. (Greg couldn't be here.) This was Kira's first Christmas so we didn't put up the tree, instead we just put a few lights and ornaments on a houseplant turned shrub. She still tried to swing from the lights!

We exchanged gifts and then had ham, baked potatoes, and salad for a late lunch. Mom surprised me with the number of presents she had for me. I'll just name a few: a mini clock that is shaped like a cat pawing in a fish bowl, two Belleek ornaments, a Belleek butterfly bowl, a super soft button up sweater, a Mad Bluebird suncatcher, a Connemara marble heart necklace, a printer and a digital camera! My stocking was filled with hair clips, Quidditch Cup cards, and tiny animal figurines.

After we opened everything we watch the extended edition of Fellowship of the Rings, which was one of the things I gave mom. She loved it along with the unicorn puzzle, Fritz & Floyd reindeer ornament, and the Fenton fan tray. I'm glad she liked her gifts and enjoyed the day.
