Yesterday was horrible. It started off with mom and I having to take back our new cat. She had only been with us a week. She was originally dropped off at our vet by animal control in early December and had been quarantined for several weeks to make sure she was healthy and free from all viruses and diseases. A woman had apparently turned her in because she clawed her. Well she was sweet enough to me but she would grab mom's arm and then kick with both her back legs. Mom wasn't doing anything to provoke this and she did it to me once after just trying to get mom. With lots of patience, love, and time I believe she would stop doing this but since I just received Kira as a gift in November I didn't have the time to spend with both of them. And since she would attack mom it wasn't wise for mom to be the one to spend all the time with her. So, we had to drop her back off at the vet. Doctor T was very nice about the entire thing and said not to worry that they wouldn't put her to sleep that they would keep looking for a new home for her.

After leaving the vet's we headed to some antique stores, where we learned that Butch had sold his store! Mom has been going there for years to look for items and just to visit with Butch. Well we went over and half of his inventory was already gone. It was odd not seeing Butch in his store. I picked up a cookie jar that I had been eyeing for months and a few other little things.

We headed home to avoid anymore bad news. My dad stopped by to say thanks for the National Geographic that I had picked up for him from the sale and to visit abit. (My parents are divorce and have been for many years.) Well I learned that dad's new girlfriend and broken up with him because she had decided to go back to her ex-husband. Obviously I am biased in favor of my dad but this man is just not right. He wouldn't let her file assault charges on one of his friend that had hurt her child! *sigh*

Today has been better thank goodness.
