Thank you for calling, whipping boy speaking...

I'm not the receptionist where I work but more often than not this is the role I play. This would be fine if the people that I passed the messages onto would actually bother to return phone calls, do what they have me tell the customer they will, or make it to scheduled appointments on time if they go at all. I’m tired of being the one that gets chewed on because of somebody else’s poor customer service. Now if I mess up a project or I’m late then I am more than willing to take the blame and brunt of the customer’s ire. I’m tired of having to tell customers that I don’t know why they weren’t called, why their machine/order/install hasn’t been completed yet. I need a new job.
