The embroidery floss selections we use are DMC colors. We recommend using three or four strands of embroidery floss. Our favorite stitch to use is the simple back stitch.

We encourage you be creative by adding buttons, fabric pieces, changing the color schemes, and trying different stitches. The patterns are designed to be framed in either 5x7 or 8x10 frames. The size of the frame depends on the size of pattern you purchase.

Just remember it will not look perfect! The pattern is made to look imperfect. We strive at My Sampler to capture the folk art primitive look.

Fun Ideas
Frame into a sampler, make pillows, and apply to tea towels, T-shirts, quilts, aprons. We also suggest adding fabric borders to the patterns to make them lager or just to give the pattern a different look. The patterns really dress up a simple tea towel or denim/canvas tote bag. They make wonderful gifts and keepsakes.
