ATV, or better described as Amateur TeleVision, is definitely my favorite mode of operating.  I am able to send full broadcast quality video and audio signals throughout the region.  My gear consists of a PC Electronics TC-7010 for 430 MHz ATV, which drives a 150 Watt Teletec DXP-U150 amplifier.   I am getting approximately 100 Watts of transmit video signal, which is fed into my 4 antenna array of 25 element Directive Systems K1FO design Yagi's mounted at 110 feet on my tower, and fed with LMR-1200 coax.  This setup has produced some incredible results, especially with weak signals.  I am using an SSB Electronics GaAsFET preamilifier mounted directly at the antenna power divider up on the tower.

  For 900 MHz ATV, I am using a transmitter and receiver pair which began life as an Archer Audio/Video Wireless Distribution System.  I removed the stock telescoping antennas and replaced them with BNC connectors.  This transmitter/receiver pair is already in the Amateur 903 MHz band, and the factory channels even align with the Amateur band plans!  The transmitter doesn't develop much power, just a few milliWatts.   To help with that, I am using an Ericsson cellular phone amplifier to boost this signal to a solid 50 Watts on transmit sync peaks.  I am seeing nearly 30 Watts of RMS power on transmit.  The receiver is also very sensitive.  There are quite a few different wireless systems that can be used for this, but through experimentation, I have found the Radio Shack units work best.  For antennas, I pump the signal into my pair of 47 element Directive Systems Loop Yagi's mounted 110 feet up the tower on my stacking frame, which are fed with 1-5/8" heliax and LMR-600UF for the flexible portions.

  My friend Tom (WA1LBK) has mounted a 1/10th Watt transmitter on his remote control airplane!  I am able to get a pilots eye view while he practices some wild aerobatic maneuvers.  I have been able to receive his signal with full color and audio from approximately 35 miles away! This makes for some incredible video.
