Nanette Oleson is an award-winning artist known for her dynamic brushwork and vivid impressionistic colors.  Her paintings reflect the yearning to find tranquility through the beauty of nature. Nanette’s mission has always been to inspire children to discover their unique areas of giftedness.  After years of organizing diverse educational and artistic opportunities for children, she discovered her own passion for oil painting.  As an emerging artist she wholeheartedly pursued this endeavor. 

      “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”  Within a year after starting, Nanette’s enthusiasm lead her to study with internationally recognized artists, she created award winning paintings and received professional development grants from the Nevada Arts Council.

       Her impressionistic paintings continue to capture her enthusiasm and reflect a vivid clarity of colors.  “The ability to create art comes to me as an unexpected surprise and a gift from God.  I want my paintings to reflect the joy He has given me in being alive.”  Nanette lives in Reno, Nevada with her husband and two daughters. She is an avid gardener, outdoor enthusiast and owner of two energetic herding dogs.  She is a full time school counselor who organizes many artistic opportunities for school age children.
