From US-131 & I-94, trip is 166 miles and takes about 2 hours and 42 minutes assuming no traffic jams. If you want to go closer to downtown you could take the skyway (I-90) north to I-290 west instead of staying on I-80 all the way to the Tri-State Tollway (I-294), but most of us plan to bypass Chicago the city to the southwest as shown.

• Take I-94 west 122 miles to I-294 North.
• Continue north on I-294 31 miles to I-290 West toward IL-64/Rockford/US-20
• Continue northwest on I-290 11 miles to Exit 5 (Thorndale Ave) east
• Turn right onto Thorndale Ave (CR-26 E)
• After a very short distance east, turn left onto Park Blvd.
