Coloring and Poster Contest Winners Selected

The Nebraska Elks Association Drug Awareness Committee has finished the judging of the state Drug Awareness coloring and poster entries. The winners are as follows:

3rd grade coloring-

4th grade poster-
Sierra Edmisten, Hawthorne School, Hastings, Hastings Elks Lodge
Luke Paulson, Westside Elementary, Norfolk, Norfolk Elks Lodge

5th grade poster-
Shannon Elkins, Northern Hills School, Norfolk, Norfolk Elks Lodge
Colt Washa, Prairie View Elementary, Ogallala, Ogallala Elks Lodge

6th grade poster-
Mikayla Schultz, No School Listed, Hastings Elks Lodge
Isage Stamp, Pierce Elementary, Pierce, Norfolk Elks Lodge

Isage Stamp, son of Brett Stamp of Pierce, was named overall winner and his entry will be sent to the Grand Lodge Drug Awareness Committee for consideration as an entry in the next Elks Drug Awareness Coloring Book. Isage is the fourth Norfolk Elks Lodge sponsored entry to be considered for this coveted honor. The judges were impressed with the simplicity and eye appeal of his poster.

All eight state winners will be receiving a U.S. Savings Bond for their efforts in this contest.
