The State Soccer Shoot is Scheduled

Joe Thompson, chairman of the Nebraska Elks Association Soccer Shoot Program, has announced that the Fifth Annual Nebraska Elks Association Soccer Shoot finals will be held in Hastings on Saturday, October 16.

The competition will begin at 10 a.m. at the Hastings Elks Lodge Country Club. Champions from 20 of the 23 Nebraska Elks Lodges will be competing for the opportunity to be a state champion and to advance to the Elks Regional Soccer Shoot to be held in November in Casper, WY.

After the competition a light lunch will be served and hosted by the Hastings Elks Lodge and the top three kickers in each age and gender group will receive awards for their efforts.

Volunteers are needed to help at the competition and one needs not be an Elk to help. Volunteers are asked to contact Joe Thompson in Hastings and to show up at the Hastings Elks Lodge at 9 a.m. prior to the competition.
