Norfolk Elks Hold Hoop Shoot Competition

More than 2,600 shooters started the school phase of the Norfolk Elks Lodge 32nd Annual Elks Hoop Shoot Foul Shooting Contest.

On Saturday, January 10th, the school champions from 30 schools in Northeast Nebraska shot against each other to determine the Lodge champions and to see who would advance to the Nebraska Elks Association District Competition in York on Saturday, January 24th.

After the competition, the top 3 shooters in each of the age categories of both the boys and girls competition and their families were honored at the Norfolk Elks Lodge with a Awards Luncheon where they received their medals (gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded.)

8-9 yr old girls

10-11 yr old girls

2. Erin Anderson, Norfolk Sacred Heart School
3. Brittni Hart, Stanton School
10-11 yr old boys
1. Josh Herscheid, Stanton School
2. Chris Baker, Norfolk BelAir Elementary
3. Ben Rowse, Norfolk Sacred Heart School

12-13 yr old girls
1. Joey Kuehn, Pierce Elementary School
2. Sierra Summers, Ewing
3. Jordyn Weidner, Madison Public School
12-13 yr old boys
1. Ryan Klein, Wakefield Community School
