ENF Declares January the First Annual Planned Giving Awareness Month
Chicago, Ill: In an effort to increase Elks' familiarity with
planned giving methods and to promote the benefits of the John F. Malley
Society's, the Elks National Foundation has declared January Planned Giving
Awareness Month. Planned giving allows Elks to leave behind a positive
legacy while ensuring the future of the Foundation.
"As director, I see every day the good work the Foundation accomplishes,
" says Jim O'Kelley, ENF Director and John F. Malley Society member.
"Knowing my gift will be invested in a permanent trust fund that will never
stop working to benefit kids and veterans, gives me a peace of Mind."
The ENF established the John F. Malley Society in 2001, and the program has
gained momentum ever since. Named for the GER who first championed the
idea of the Elks National Foundation, today the society boasts 22 members who
have named the Foundation as a beneficiary of their estate, or who have made
lifetime gifts of stock, property or insurance.
"Planned giving is a simple and effective way for anyone who believes in
the Foundation's lasting impact to support its programs for years to come,"
says Chairman of the ENF Board of Trustees and society member, Jack Traynor.
"I'm proud to join with other Elks in securing the future of the ENF."
The Foundation's Annual Report and HEARTBEAT, a donor newsletter, both list the
member's names for the year they join the society. Additional benefits of
the John F. Malley Society include a letter of recognition, a pin and an
exclusive medallion.
To enroll in the John F. Malley society, fill out a one-page application along
with a brief testimonial explaining why you chose to include the Foundation in
your plans. If you would like more information on planned giving, the John
