331
Stroker Build
My
plan is to build a strong 331 with relatively low compression so I have the
option to add a supercharger later on. I am going to use a stock block, forged
internals, ford e cam, worked gt40p heads, and a GT-40 or typhoon intake manifold.
On this page I will post updates with pictures whenever I make any progress.
The link below shows the parts I am planning on getting. I am not sure of all
the parts, and some of them I will be buying used or on ebay, so the actual
costs will be a bit lower than the retail costs I've posted.

Well
its been awhile since I last updated. I just started a new quarter of school
and work has been hectic. Anyways, I have a new part to add, and a couple days
ago I ordered a crankshaft so that will be up soon too. And also if everything
goes right I should have a block within a couple of weeks.
My
mom got me this a couple of weeks ago for a late Christmas present. Its an MSD
Pro Billet distributor, PN MSD-8456.

Today
was a big day for me. I found out that my crank will be here on monday, and
more importantly I just purchased a block. Finally I will have the foundation
for my project. It is a stock block that has already been hot tanked, magnafluxed,
bored and honed .030" over, and already has new freeze plugs and cam bearings
installed. Not sure when it will get here though but I will update as I find
out.

Today
my crankshaft showed up and the people I bought my block from have received
my payment, so it will be shipping out sometime this week. Its coming freight
from Texas so it might take a while to get here.
This
is the crankshaft I decided on. It is an Eagle Cast Steel Crankshaft. It has
a 3.250" stroke, and its designed for a 28 oz. external balancer. The summit
part number is ESP-103023250. Originally I wanted to get a forged crankshaft,
but I thought about it and decided that since my block will only be able to
handle 500hp, I might as well save some money and get this one because it is
rated for 500hp and I wont be going over that.
