Full Advisory Text
Warning Description: Air Stagnation Advisory

Warning Date: 7:44 PM PST on December 4, 2008

WarningSum:...Air Stagnation Advisory Remains In Effect Until 8 Am Pst
Sunday...

Warning Message:An air stagnation advisory remains in effect until 8 am PST
Sunday.
A weak cold front skirted the area last night...clearing out the
Klamath basin this afternoon. However...an inversion has reformed
over that area this evening. This inversion and the one that has
remained present west of the Cascades will result in light winds
and limited vertical mixing of air through Sunday morning. While
some valley locations may see some clearing during the mid to late
afternoon each day...the inversion will still be in place.
Thus...atmospheric conditions will continue to trap smoke and
other particulates and pollutants in the valleys of
Klamath...Jackson...and Josephine counties through Sunday morning.
An air stagnation advisory indicates that due to limited movement
of an airmass across the advisory area...pollution will increase.
